Laughing, Riding on the Harley & Dancing in the Kitchen

Bryan and I met because of a little nudge from my sister, Kourtney, and her husband, Jason. At the time, dating felt like a completely foreign concept, so when they joked that they “had a great guy” for me, I laughed it off and asked the most important question: “Does he have tattoos?”

When they said yes—and Jason added, “and he has a motorcycle”—I laughed again and told them to invite him over. I didn’t think they’d actually do it… but within the hour, I was meeting the man who would completely change my life.

I fell for him instantly, watching the way he loved on my nieces and nephews like he’d known them forever. He understood each of them in a way that made my heart stop. I will never forget 06.20.2025 — the day I met the other half of my soul.

Over the next few weeks, we talked nonstop. And then came the 4th of July. After celebrating with his family and friends, Bryan rushed over just to see me. We stayed up all night watching thriller movies — our favorite thing to do together. By 2 a.m., he was exhausted, so I made him go home… but by 7 a.m., I was at his door because even a few hours apart felt like forever.

Since that day, we’ve spent every moment we can laughing, riding the Harley, dancing in the kitchen, and acting like teenagers making the perfect playlist. And in between the fun, there are the quiet moments — the ones where we cry and thank God for giving us a love we didn’t know we would ever get to experience.

We are forever grateful for the friendship we found in each other, and for the love that followed.
